Nice Little pump
This is a nice little lightweight pump. Like most mini-portable pumps, don't expect it to be able to pump tires to 80 psi. It'll just give you enough pressure to get home and no more. My tests at home demonstrated I can pump it about 60 psi before I got all tired out. If you bend the lock lever 135 degrees (not 90 degrees), the seal between the valve and the pump is quite good, even to 100 psi. However, when I pumped my tire to 100 psi using a hand pump, and tried to top it off with this pump, I could not push any more pressure into the tire.. Using this pump makes you appreciate a floor pump! It does not have a 2 way stroke action. But since you need to brace against something strong, the push-only action is actually beneficial. I recommend you practice pumping at home because your state-of-mind would be quite different somewhere on a road far from home. I found a good stable position is to lay the wheel on the ground and use my multi-tool to shim the head. This allows you to use gravity to push the air in.

I like the feature with the two heads for both valve types. It stores securely on the seatpost waterbottle braze-on's on my bike. With the velcro, never worried about it falling off my bike and had not dropped it once in over 1000 miles of riding. I'm planning to get another for my other bike.

The Best Bargain Pump Around...
I bought this pump last summer when I bought a new bike as part of my new found exercise program. I will tell you up front that I am no true bicycle enthusiast, nor any kind of expert. My bike is one of those comfy beach cruiser models with a single speed and old fashioned up right handlebars. My only concerns in buying a pump was making sure I had one along that was easy enough to use and solid enough to not break on me after a couple of uses. Getting sidelined by a low or flat tire that is not really badly damaged somewhere away from home is not like the similar situation with a car. Just about anywhere you go there is usually someone that happens by on a bike that does do their riding a little better prepared. But of course its very convenient and smart to have your own along.

This Schwinn pump is just about as cheap in price as they come. But is to me is a good value, very solidly built, and a breeze to use. Its lock on nozzle fits any type of tire stem I have tried it on, (I think there are only two types anyway), never allows any air to leak out in between pumps, and its just short and fat enough that it supplies a good amount of air per every stroke of your labor. Its mounting system is as easy and secure as they can offer in my opinion. The mounting bracket is compact and easy to attach to any bike, and the pump itself both snaps in place and carries velcro straps for extra security. Nothing like being far from home and seeing your tire is a getting a little flat, only to realize your pump went bye bye somewhere miles back along the trail. The only way you will shake this little jewel loose is to wreck your whole bike or lose it.

In conclusion, be advised that this little pump is not one I would recommend if you are the type to habitually allow tires to go completely flat before you figure its worth your time doing anything about it. Its volume is just a little small for pumping a tire up to a full 80 lbs from scratch. You can manage it, but it will take a little muscle and remembering well that patience is indeed a virtue. If you're more of a true bike aficionado, than I would suggest moving up to a higher volume, more expensive pump. However as an emergency or everyday pump for just topping off your tires, I feel its the very best tire pump around for the price they ask. Its solid, very easy to use, fits any tire, and as mentioned before, has a top notch bracket and snap/strap in system. You will not find a better pump for the price. Recommended...

Works well for my comfort/hybrid bike
I needed a basic portable pump for my Giant Sedona hybrid and bought this pump based on its reviews and the attractive price. It works well - ie. frame mounts well and satisfies the pressure needs for my comfort/hybrid bike tires (they don't need more than 100psi max that this one provides).
