While not an absolute necessity for most of us, having a phone can prove very convenient, and if you have a good phone (read: expensive) it makes sense to spend a few extra bucks to protect it; no case does that better than an Otterbox.

A light source is IMO one of those absolutely essential EDC items. And this little Photon is perfect for most everyday situations. It takes up zero space, weighs nothing, lasts forever, ultra rugged, doesn’t break the bank, USA made, and you’ll wonder how you ever lived without one. There are cheaper similar lights and/or different designed, but none are better than this one.

No EDC is complete without some form of a blade (and that includes you ladies!). And this, my friends, is the cream of the crop. Of course you don’t have to spend this much for a good pocket knife, but a knife lies at the core of “useful stuff” to have with you every day. That said, I can wholeheartedly recommend this knife, its expense notwithstanding. I never leave home without it.
